Our purpose is to provide a facility to assist the Christian church in carrying out the Great Commission of our Lord Jesus Christ, to reach unsaved souls for Christ and to be a beacon for millions of Christians in a 6-state area.
Middle Creek seeks to provide quality accommodations in a secluded atmosphere in the midst of His beautiful creation where worship, praise, contemplation, study, teaching and preaching will edify His people. Recreational activities enhance the spiritual experience of God's people as they grow in grace and knowledge of the Lord.
In 1969 Summit Lake Camp, a youth camp near Emmitsburg, MD, was acquired and incorporated.
Many volunteers donated time to winterize what had been only a summer camp. Three lodges were built, and two large meeting areas, the Tabernacle and Chapel were built to be used by guests for their programming.
Other planned lodges were denied permits because of zoning, so additional space for expansion had to be found elsewhere, resulting in the search for and subsequent purchase of the Middle Creek property in 1983. The Pennsylvania site is only 20 minute drive from Summit Lake and 15 minutes from Ski Liberty and Gettysburg.
